CDP 2013 POINTS POLICY

1. Any racer may join the points program at Cordova Dragway Park. A racer can join points at any time during the season and points will start accumulating once they join.   If they join by Points Race #2 on May 12th, a racer will earn points retroactive from points Race #1.  A racer must be a points member to race at the Bracket Team Finals and to receive year end points fund monies.

2. This includes Super Pro, Pro ET, Super ET, Street, Bike, and Juniors

3. A racer earns points - 10 pts for entering and 10 pts for each round win. The winner of each race will earn 2 additional points and the runner-up will earn 1 additional point.

4. BONUS POINTS: Sunday points day of World Series will be 20 points to enter and 11 points per round win.

5. No Team drivers allowed.

6. Once a class has been declared you may not transfer points between classes.

7. The points go with the Driver and their number.  We don’t care what you drive in your class so long as you have your number on the entry.  It is good to check your ET slip to make sure your car number is correct – this will insure that you get proper credit for your rounds.

8. We will drop the lowest 2 races of the season.  If a racer attends all points race during the season, as a bonus, they will only drop 1 (one) of the lowest races of the season.

9. If you have any questions about your points please contact the office as soon as you have a question.  We try to get them posted on the website by Wednesday following the points races. The points are hand tabulated and there can be mistakes.  If you wait until the last race to tell us there is a problem, it may be too late to fix the problem.

2013 MOTORCYCLE/SLED POINTS PROGRAM

This is a new program that is a Series combined with Central Illinois Dragway.  See schedule for all of the race dates. 11 of 13 races count for point’s tabulation. Should you race more than 11 events the lower points tabulations will be dropped including zero’s for a no-show. The point’s series will be based on total points from the entire series. To be eligible to attend the bracket finals and have points tabulated in this Series, you must be a point’s member. Points Membership is $30 and can be paid at either track. The last day to join points is Sunday, May 20. Entry at the ET Finals is not paid as a part of this Series.  Points Tabulation: 10 Pts for entering, 10 Pts per round won, 1 bonus pt for runner-up, 2 bonus pts for a win

Class Structure

  • One class with two separate sides (Street Bikes one side & Pro-Bike/Sleds one side). Delay Boxes are legal on Pro-Bike side. No-Slider/RPM driven clutches per common street bikes rules across the country.
  • Each side races down to one remaining Motorcycle/Sled.
  • When one side is down to one Motorcycle/Sled it will merge into the other side.
  • The Pro-Bike/Sleds will use Cross-Talk. The Street Bikes side will have Cross-Talk shut off. Cross-Talk will remain active once the two sides are merged into one. If any racer does not want the Cross-Talk activated, they may put an “N” behind dial-in on their bike or sled to indicate to the tower that cross-talk is off for that bike/sled.
  • First round run ladders will be generated from last time trial session based on reaction time. If a racer misses that session they will be force entered at the bottom of the ladder by last name alpha order.
  • Buys Backs are available for first round losers. Buy Backs will race each other in round two, unless we have an odd number, then one buy back will race a first round winner.
  • Round two and later rounds will be paired by chip/card system.
  • Bye runs by ladder first round and reaction time thereafter, however a bye run can be carried. Note: If there is an even number of bikes in round one and a bye is not available because of that even number, the bye for round #2 will then be determined by round one reaction times. (NOT BASED ON THE QUALIFYING FOR THE LADDER POSITIONS)
  • Bye runs are based on the following factors before and after the classes are merged.  Round #2 buy backs are not eligible for a bye run in that round. If the rider had a previous bye-run.  Reaction times of the previous round.
